We received an email this morning informing us that a staff member has tested positive for coronavirus. It said that if you had prolonged contact with the individual that you would already have been notified. I have been working remotely since the beginning of the school year so it isn't a concern for me. The only real prolonged interaction with people that I have these days is outside at the gym, with the neighbors on the landing (outside), and inside my apartment with my downstairs neighbor or ex. We are supposed to back to school in person on November 9. I will be interested to see if that actually happens or if our return is pushed back to after Christmas break.

now is not the right time to return to normal activities. It is better to stay in the house and always wear a mask. We have to wait until a vaccine is found and is used by everyone.

First, they should tell who this individual is instead of keeping it a mystery.

I guess you have to protect their medical privacy

I don't think things will settle down by November 9.

It would be better to push the date till the situation gets a bit better. So many tentative dates have been pushed.
