Why I'm Thankful

I have a lot to be thankful for these last few days. I know it's been a couple of days since I posted a thankful post. My time is limited unlike when I'm home.
I'm thankful for the nursing staff. They're teaching me patience as it can take a while before they answer the call button.
I'm thankful for my therapists who are happy with my progress. Hopefully, it means I'll be going home sooner than expected.
I'm thankful the cooks are working with my diet. I know it means sometimes my tray is half empty, but I learned this morning I can ask for more. Reminds me of Oliver. This morning I asked for more. I just finished a second breakfast.
I'm thankful that every day is better than the day before and hopefully, soon I will do things on my own without the aid of a nurse.
I'm way behind on notifications, almost 300 when I woke this morning. I'm working them from the bottom up as I have them from the 21st. Hopefully, I can cut those way down today.
I'm also happy the Packers won last night. It was a wonderful game. Both teams played very well and it could have gone either way. The score was 37-30. Packers over the Saints.
I talked to my son this morning because I wanted to and not because I needed something.

I am so glad to hear that it all is going progressively good in your life Valerie. I assume you are recovering from something, I hope as you said you get to go home sooner than expected. Regarding the question, I am thankful for being a live, for the opportunity to live another day, for being healthy and more. I am also beyond thankful for the family I have and for their well being.

jest thrilled yer doin' so well, ms. @just4him! see what happens when yer a popular gal? o'erloaded with notifications, lol. i've not that sort'a trouble. then 'gain, they seem to drop off the universe within a couple 'f days...
i hope yer son 'ppreciated that. i called mine this morn, to see if'n he could use some jackets'n new shirts fer autumn/winter. the hubs's cleanin' out his huntin' wagon'n 't 'ppears there's many clothin' items that've ne'er been warn.... know what the son said when he answered? "yeah, what do you want". so, i told him nothin', 've a good day'n hung'p. sigh...
thankful fer. that the winds 'f the night (horrendous) calmed to 'bout 30mph. brief moments 'f 'bout 20. the sun's finally made 'ts debut. thankful the front 'twas not 'bsolutely frigid like the last'un. 'ctually thankful fer the cloud cover this morn, made snappin' pics 'f lil birds better. their colors not 'wash, but vibrant. thankful fer my lil sanctuary 'n the critters that come here fer comfort, shelter, food'n water durin' their migrations.

@just4him no worries, that's jest the way thingies go 'round here. told the hubs to take all to the shelter. 'twas good to hear yer voice! no worries 'bout yesterday. if'n ya think my speech 'twas horrid today, ya prolly would'a jest hung'p yesterday. ugh, these fronts...jest kick my backside.

Yes, me too. I felt bad because I woke him up. I thought he would still be awake at 7 AM. He works until 6 AM.

@just4him The comment about asking for more like Oliver gave me a giggle. I haven't seen that before but I'm familiar of that famous line. I'd love to watch that movie some day.

I am thankful for workout videos I've found on YouTube. I think they are fun, they are inspiring and they make me feel good whilst trying to get fit.
