Believe it or not, I am writing this post so I can remember that I am supposed to make a pork stir fry tomorrow night. I asked the wifey what she wanted and that is what she said. Normally I just make a note and put it on the fridge. But tonight I said, "I will just write a post I know I will see tomorrow and remember that is what we talked about making." I will cook up the pork, and cut up some onion, green peppers, and some other stuff. I will make my normal mixture of about 1/3 cup soy sauce and some sugar. It will be delicious as pretty much my stir fry's go. And I get a post out of it. Isn't THAT icing on the cake?

@moffittjc I couldn't resist an opportunity to be as long winded as I usually tend to be around here. That would just be too outside my MO. lol

Pork is probably the one meat I eat the most.

I like to use the soy sauce/sugar mixture. In Japanese cooking that combination is supposed to add mirin (cooking saké) but I never have that. Using brown sugar kind of imitates that taste.

I alternate between regular white sugar and brown sugar. But I do prefer making the sauce with brown sugar. Never thought to put cooking sake in it, but that sounds delicious as well and may have to get some for the next batch.

It was very good. I think in India you guys do a few stir fries as well, although of course the flavors are a bit different.
