Today has been has been yummy and has plenty in store for me! This morning, the roommates were away. I decided to make a big bowl of pasta salad. Good for grab n go for the weekend. Easy to portion out as a dinner or as a mini meal on my Slim Fast diet. My mother Rose taught me how to make her version years ago. A total blessing. About 3 hours later, a friend stopped with all kinds of bags. What was in the bags? All of her ingredients for macaroni salad. She was determined to teach me her recipe! So, she told me what to do then stir, stir, stir. Totally delicious! Another blessing! My fridge is stocked! Now all I need to do is make is the potato salad recipe of @porwest Next? I have 70 books lined up to review! I am going to pace myself, 1 to 2 each evening/night. The money is going to come in handy for Christmas. The roommates have already requested their Christmas presents... I like to help Santa out. They think Santa is a billionaire. Time for some coffee. I am out of ingredients for mochas. Total bummer. I do have Swiss Miss, but not sugar-free. The Swiss Miss keeps sitting by my Keurig saying, "you need me". Be good!

@Spontaneo It is a show by the Coen brothers. My husband doesn't like this season, so we watched a movie instead.

It would take me forever, to review 70 books, I don't read very fast.

@Spontaneo aren't pasta and macaroni salads one and the same just made with different ingredients. So you had two bowls one with pasta salad and one with macaroni salad?

You cannot go wrong with macaroni salad either, for sure. I hope if you try my recipe you find you like it. I would be really interested to hear your thoughts, even if they are not good. That recipe may be due for an upgrade or suggestive revision. Been making it for years and if I can make it better...I am all ears. Good or bad, I can handle it.

I just need to learn how to judge the length of minutes it takes to cook the potatoes and should I cut them up first or last?

@Spontaneo I generally just do about 12-15 minutes. But it does depend. I have done it before when I went just long enough and pretty much wound up with a mashed potato salad.
