My motherly thoughts about the Trump-Biden-Wallace Debate

October 10, 2020 9:30am CST
I enjoyed the banter. I found it entertaining. Probably because I anticipated the worst for Biden's gaffes. He actually, did quite well through to the end. Well, fazed a little bit with confusion about where he finished off in every sentence. While, President Trump, he's always been that way-- pushy-- so, I anticipated that of him. Finally, probably because I'm used to this kind of 'noise'. I have a very large family, and most times, we talked over each other. And amazingly, most mothers, hear each of our unique children and understand clearly. During the debate, I selectively heared the substance and facts discerningly and precisely. So, all good. What about you? Any thoughts?

I found it entertaining as well and a little annoying. Like two children in the school yard.

Haha! I'm annoyed and shouting at my laptop screen for a reason, too.

I didn't watch as we were in the midst of revival services when it was held. I wouldn't have watched had we been home because I already know who I am voting for, so nothing at this point would sway me to change. And I knew I would hear about it for the next few days with family/friends on facebook and videos we watch on you tube. We seldom watch the news as they seldom give us news but rather their opinions and such.

Thanks for visiting my post. I see what you mean. So, how did the revival services go? Honestly, I'm biased only towards open-for-discussion-conservative-leaning news and videos .

@Dena91 How did you do the revival services? I'm very glad that every bit of your time at the revival was wonderful.

Haha! Alutuf's can't stand childish shenaniguns and showoffs on stage. Thus far, this long-suff'rin' silly mama got what she aimed for-- popcorn and coffee shake, and guffaw.

I am a STRONG Trump supporter. That support has not waivered. However, I found Trump's performance to be disgusting, frustrating, and annoying. Why? Because he has such a tremendous record, and none of that got noticed in the debate. He performed much better in debates in 2016. Hands down, and this one just left me angry and embarrassed. The thing for me when it comes to debates is NOT about the support base. By the time we get to the debates minds are pretty much made up for most people, and debates rarely sway those supporters on either side to go the other way...or another direction like third party. It's the 5%-7% of undecideds who those debates are for. And I am not sure that Trump captured them. Granted, I don't think Biden did either. BUT, that 5%-7% is pretty damn important in an election. They tend to determine the outcome. So, I am not sure what the direction is/was. But I just know it looked very bad, for me, and I was not happy. I was actually very livid throughout the debate, and for days after it. They all stunk. All three of them. But the one guy who did not HAVE to stink was Trump.

Understandable. Frustrating that Prez Trump's 3 1/2 years of hundreds of accomplishments were trumped (disregarded) in just 120 minutes of meaningless no-follow-up questions to probe for the truth and substance. Well, the Trump rallies make up for the failures (not Trump's) at the debate. Don't be afraid of the kerfuffle that slipped in at the debate. Let it not dominate you.

@porwest Only the wise and the freedom-loving can see and understand what's going on in the battle field. We know how and when to stand still and fight whenever necessary.

@everwonderwhy Well, this is the one thing I find comforting is that today we live in a world where there are MANY more platforms out there available for someone to get their message heard. Debates may have held more importance back in the day because it was the one time people really got to see the candidates in a more raw form, and got to hear the message right from the horse's mouth so to speak. Even though the debate went horribly, at least I think the real message still gets heard, and even for the undecideds, I think they will tune into those messages as well and hopefully be able to set aside what they got from the debate. We shall see.

I just hope we can get Trump out of office.

Yeah. Pelosi and her minions have been so madly in love with him that they've been trying to get Prez Trump out of White House to themselves and not share him with his loyal supporters. But looks like that ain't gonna happen. He's staying 2020 onwards.

@piyushbhatia1 One of them was, has fought it and has recovered. Who do you think is the reliable one to say, "Do not be afraid of chinese covid. Let it not dominate you."?
