My scarecrow traditon

This is my favorite time of year. Started working on doing some more Halloween decorating yesterday. Every year I put up a scarecrow. One of the many traditions handed down to me.
What are your Halloween traditions? Do you even celebrate Halloween? I know some countries, such as Japan associate trick or treating with begging.
I have found out that putting up scarecrows go's back for 3,000 years. The Greeks created wooden scarecrows akin to Priapus, the son of the son of Dionysus and Aphrodite. I know almost all cultures have a scarecrow legends. Does yours and what is it? Would love to hear about them Thank you for stopping by.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Ugh. We still have to wear mask, which isn't that big of deal on Halloween. Probably will just have the neighbor kid anyways for trick or treating. All we can do is try and make lemonade out of lemons. Blessed be.

Sadly, that is probably true. I keep hoping that this is just going to be a year for the history books and it doesn't turn into the "new norm" yuck.

There never has been a Halloween tradition in my family but I love Halloween, I think it's fun but honestly I only associate scarecrows with fields of crops. I suppose some farmers thought they would scare the birds away.

I had a scarecrow but he has fallen apart after time, I was always restuffing him lol. We love Halloween, we will soon start to decorate and I bought giant spiders to put on the house, should be cool.
