What is it with Wednesdays?

I know it's hump day but... why do all the shows on tv have to be on Wednesday? I have been a tv junky since I grew up alone as the youngest and had the television as my only entertainment (and books, and music). But I loved my shows and kept track of when they were on so I wouldn't miss them. Tonight we have Big Brother, The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice, and The Amazing Race. Because of football there is nothing on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Hockey season is obviously going to be late starting this year. All the good shows are on Wednesday. Criminal Minds was on Wednesday. Good thing we have satellite so I was able to go through the guide on the television to see when the shows are on later on other channels. I could watch the next day on the internet but I don't care to do that. My daughter watches everything on her iPad - live or later. Other shows I like to watch are Law & Order:SVU (Thursday) and Blue Bloods (Friday). Last night (Tuesday) we had The Weakest Link and Ellen's Game of Games. I am not watching Dancing With The Stars this year. I refuse! Can't wait until The Voice starts up again. My husband is usually in bed by 9pm so all I really have is the television, computer and whatever I'm reading. (I know, I should be working on my novel but my eyes are too tired in the evening). Whenever an event outside my home is scheduled with the Library or any other author event, it's always on a Wednesday. What is it with Wednesdays?

All those Wednesday shows are my favorites too. I agree that Wednesday seems to be the most popular night for all those good shows.

There seems to be a lot to choose from. I am not a TV person and my TV time is limited to late night TV watching on Friday and Saturday.
