Monopoly: A Board Game that Needs to Buy Soon

I noticed that my 4th grader's niece doesn't know the use of money. In fact, she never had money on her hands or in her pockets. My family and I don't want her to be exposed to it. Now, it's time for her to learn how to use it. Thus, I am planning to buy a Monopoly board game.
Have you tried to play this board game?
Would you like to play it online or offline?
At what age does a child need to have money in his or her pocket?

We often play this board game in our family. Two years back my daughter got a new one as gift that uses credit card machine instead of currency notes.

@Shavkat Even we found that interesting. But I would still prefer the old currency one. Especially if you plan to teach her money handling.

Yes. Apples to Apples. Monopoly. Chess. Taboo. Five Seconds Rule. My husband built/ constructed Games of the Generals with hardwood. Magnificent piece of carpentry.
