Local Radio Station Makes Me Feel Like Part of Society

Hi all,
So I'm sure that we all have our ways of coping during this pandemic ... some people feel more comfortable out and about. I don't and my mom is high risk. So it is worth it to me to stay in as much as I can.
That doesn't mean that I don't miss things like - going out to eat inside a restaurant. Having dance practice in person. Going to the store to shop in person. Seeing friends. Because I do. Sometimes I wonder at what point I will again feel safe in society at large. When there is a cure/treatment? When new cases are down to 0? When there is a vaccine? I don't know. I just don't know. So I try to not think about it and take one day at time which is harder than it sounds.
However, I have discovered a local radio station that makes me feel better. It's based out of Braham , MN and I suppose I shouldn't say local. Braham is about an hour and a half away and is a tiny town. I don't know that I've been there ever. But they play a great mix of music, the hosts are really personable and they play this game weekdays from 11-2 , they post a theme on their social media and the listeners write in what song they want to hear that fits the theme. Sometimes it's a decade, or Alphabet challenge, or boy bands, girl groups, song you just discovered, so as you can guess this leads to a lot of variety being played.
They make jokes and talk to the listeners, and well, they know me as Fabulous Faye :-)
That small thing makes me feel somehow less isolated during all this.
The good news is that if you want to listen in, you can, via online streaming, which I , too have to do, because even being close distance wise... I'm still out of range to get the station on a regular radio.

@sophie09 Ah... I'm alright here, thanks. Sometimes the pandemic and lack of anything special to do bugs me. But... I'll be ok. And you"?

Oh cool! Evenings are themed shows, morning/afternoon are their sort of free for all / listener requests. Hope you'll like it as much as I do :-)

@FayeHazel We are lucky to have it . . . imagine what people did in 1918 (I think) with the Spanish Flu quarantine
