"Do you have enough time to do the things you like?"

At present, I am working so hard. I must admit that coronavirus affected me financially. For the reasons that the expenses are higher than before the pandemic. That's why I need to compensate for the unexpected expenses by working hard lately. Thus, I don't have enough time to do the things I like. How about you, myLotters? Did you change things in your life in terms of working? Image Credit: joehubbardbass.com

I have not felt any financial impact from the virus luckily. BUT, I DO wish I had more time to do the things I like. Working is great because it of course pays the bills and is necessary. But if I did not have to do it, or could do it less, I'd be very happy about that. I have thought several times recently about semi-retirement, and financially I can do it. But the paychecks are still too good to pass up. lol

I am glad that you are not affected even a slight one. I think no need to have an early retirement if we can still work. If I am going to retire in the future, I still want to be more productive as much as possible.

@porwest I am also a backpacker. If I have the chance, I wanted to explore things up and update my blog about it. I am like in your shoes that my work requires more time. Since I am teaching online, I can just bring my laptop and be connected to a dongle, then I can work and travel at the same time.

@Shavkat Well, that largely depends on whether or not you have hobbies, in my opinion. I like to write. I like to write and record music. I like to travel. These are things I have limited time to do if I work. So, even if I CAN still work, what is the point to stopping only when I can't, because if I can't work, I probably can't do any of the things I would like to do either. So, what would be the point of stopping working to enjoy the things I like if by the time I can't work and stop... I can't do the things I like?

I do not work outside the home. I find with more people home, more people eating, I have a lot more cleaning and laundry to do. That takes up more of my time and I am not finding time to work on my novel. Due to chronic illness my sleep is interrupted several times during the night causing me to sleep later than I would like taking up part of my day as well.

I have been working at home for more than seven years now. I think that I am lucky to find a niche. My company is pestering me and the other employees lately. However, I am still keeping myself positive and trying to be understandable. I am sorry that you are affected by this chronic illness of yours. I think you can still manage it. As for me, I am experiencing physical exhaustion due to working hard. Moreover, I am trying to make it still in a balance situation.

@Shavkat As far as my chronic illness is concerned, I have been dealing with it for 24 years. I know my limitations, I know how to pace myself. That is the best I can do. But with other factors of health I do have to keep exercising every day and that in itself is exhausting because of the already present chronic fatigue factor. I'm doing the best I can. It never seems to be enough.

@patgalca I can feel you for having some limitations. One step at a time is fine. With this matter, we can still be productive.

Thankfully I have time to do what I like. But unfortunately since now is pandemic and my place back in lockdown, I feel pandemic fatigue.

At some point, I am getting tired of hearing about this coronavirus. That's the reason why I brush off watching or hearing news about it lately. It makes me demotivated sometimes.

Everything affected me this year. And this 2020 is the worst year for me. In terms of working,i don't have that stable job to give me fixed salary.Just part time one.

I have a full-time job virtually. However, the company that I am working with makes me stressed out with their random changes. Regardless, I am trying to cope up. I can join you that this year is one of the tough ones to deal with.
