Making Croissant

I am not really good with baking, but I can get by with a few simple recipes. My main issue with baking is I get impatient while waiting for the dough to rise. But if I am in a good mood or when I have lots of free time, I can make decent breads. My favorite go-to breads that I can decently make from scratch are pan de sal (Philippine rolls) and croissants. Last month, I made ube and cheese pan de sal. My husband loved it. He took some to work and gave one to his co-worker. He liked it too, and now I get some inquiries if I take orders. Unfortunately I am not comfortable enough to make some for selling or public consumption. Plus, I also do not have plenty of time to devote to fulfilling orders. So for now, they only get to taste it whenever I feel like making it. This morning I am in the mood for some croissants, so I prepared the dough last night, and will be finishing it this morning. It does not always come out good, so I am hoping that this time it will turn out perfect. Wish me luck!

Good luck on croissants. I love croissants but never made them from scratch before. The ube and cheese pan de sal sounds really good! I love cheese ones but never tried ube. It’s really popular right now, ube desserts.

@Raine38 smart to make a huge batch so you can save it for future use. Your husband will be very happy to eat your freshly baked croissants. Have a nice weekend

It was suggested by my cousin, so I gave it a whirl. Croissants are my husband's favorite, so I have to learn how to make it. It is just too labor intensive, that I have to prepare it the night before. And then I just make a huge batch of dough so I can just freeze some of it for next time.

I can't realate to your post. I have baked before and I get impatient, so what I do is to set the alarm, and go to watch a movie or series while the cake is baked.

I also set our oven's alarm just to make sure that I don't burn anything!

You can do it! Most of it turned out okay, but I have some that did not seem to get cooked all the way through.

I used to bake bread, but you have to be home for it to rise. I'm not really at home at a time when I have enough energy to do the whole thing.
