I'm an old soul hence my choice to carry items in my online shop that wax nostalgic and say vintage. Sure, the bling and shine of newer things cannot be taken for granted but the old has an appeal of its own sometimes more so compared to than the most recent and latest.
Take these two jerseys for example. The first is a Manchester United jersey released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club's 4-1 European win over Benfica. The second is Arsenal's 'gold' away kit that featured their sponsor back then, Sega. This away kit was worn by the Gunners during the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 seasons.
Both jerseys were some of the first items I had purchased as a starting inventory for my online store and although it took some months, I finally sold these two vintage jerseys to one buyer who had been looking to add these to his collection.
Call it what you will - old school, throwback, retro even... the truth of the matter is, vintage will always sell very well.
