I was looking for ideas of things to write about because I tend to draw a blank and my life isn't all that interesting.
I came across this one and wanted to share:
"I have a solution"
"Oh thank goodness"
"It involves fire"
"Absolutely not!"
Then I got to thinking that there are certain circumstances where that solution is a good one.
My first thought was bedbugs. Fire would be a good solution to get rid of bedbugs. Just burn everything. We had them a year ago in a different place and even though we got rid of every single piece of furniture, including the beds and living room furniture, and paid the professional exterminator I still think I see them in our new place. They really mess with your head.
A toxic friendship. Yep, I will burn that to the ground. I am not the "Oh, they made me mad let me pout" kind of person. I am the "burn the bridge with molotov cocktails, dance in the shadows of the flames, and make smores" kind of person.
An abusive relationship. Yep, not only will I end the relationship, but I will tell everyone I know just what kind of a person you are. Granted I only did this with my relationships and I would never do this with someone else's because it then puts them in a lot of danger.
What situation can you think of that can be solved by fire? Literal or figurative.

@fatragu Oh, I finished it, thought it was ugly and my wife came out decided it was perfect for displaying her Department 56 pottery. As for the ugly part, we will cover it with holiday theme cloth. It is sturdy but .... It started as an experiment to see if I could do it. I think now the only way I will ever be able to get rid of it is to build a new one that also looks nice.

Not sure but fire is a great way to get rid of evidence.

I've been listening to Forensic Files while I drive and they said in a couple episodes that people think that, but fire leaves its own evidence and isn't really that great for destroying evidence.
Small stuff in a burn pit I could see. A body, probably not.

@fatragu Oh, I thought it does. It could be very hard to identify remains of a body if badly burned, no?
