Do not touch your phone when you're in bed!!! It's logical that you can't sleep when you open it again. I can't believe it!

@kafryan Leave the phone in a different room, not on your bedside table when you go to bed. The world will go on turning even if you don't check the phone every few minutes. I think you have a serious problem.

You ever tried reading a boring book? Sometimes that can make a person fall asleep.

@kafryan Sometimes when I read I can dose off. Not sure if it is because I am tired or because the book is boring. But that's why I suggested it. Maybe that will help.

Same problem here! I have insomnia, but the very effective way so far is to think of something you do not want to do, example... if you love reading but hate reading academic books... try reading it and hopefully it will make your eyes sleepy in a snap... I have this insomnia since I am young, and what makes me sleepy is reading books that I am not fond of. Heheheheh... or think of my next activity that I really hate... it makes me more sleepy. But sometimes when my insomnia is so severe I have to wait until 3 days... when my head is really aching from there I was able to force myself to sleep early in a few days. And my insomnia is back again. But it is different when I am stress... there is mo way that I am goign to fall asleep anytime soon just like today. :) have a great day.

You mentioned that you eat well today. That could be one of the reasons for you not to be caught by drowsiness. You should eat less during nighttime before you go to bed.

Don't forget to pray before bed. Prayer is a very effective medicine.

When I want to go sleep fast, I usually make my brain free for any thoughts. Just close my eyes, relaxing my mind and my head and all of sudden I'm in the dreaming state :-) I'm a light sleepet, so to sleep back easily I just doing that trick :-)

They said if you close your eyes and stay still for 10 minutes or so, you'll fall asleep. Never try this. So I don't know whether it really works.

Welcome to myLot! I would talk to my doctor if I had sleeping problems. That must be awful for you. Melatonin is supposed to be good.

My advice is finding a way to get your body and mind tired so you can sleep like a baby at night. Have you tried sleeping pills. Last suggestion read a good book. And welcome to mylot.
