Drawing your Dreams

I used to keep a dream journal. I wrote down the details about dreams I could remember. Today, I was searching for Bing images and found a page about drawing your dreams. I never thought of that. I only thought of dreams as images in your mind and words on a page. I'm not sure I could draw them. Did you ever draw your dreams? How did it turn out?

I could never draw my dreams. But I find it a beautiful idea.

Do you think you might try it sometime? I never did and not sure how to do that.

I like to think I can draw, but I'm nowhere as good as my mom was. However, I can understand the concept. For some people, they can translate dreams better as pictures instead of words. Unless they dream about conversations. This actually reminds me of a show I saw years back. People would get on stage, describe their dreams, and they had this machine that would translate those words into images. Then, another person would analyze the dream and tell the person what it most likely means.

Wow, what a cool show. Do you remember the name of it? Would I be able to see it on youtube or search it online?

I try to watch something uplifting before sleeping. There is so much negativity in the world that I need to cling to the good stuff.

@RebeccasFarm A lot of times, I think of the still waters and green pastures of the 23rd psalm. It is a peaceful and soothing place, in my imagination at least.

It is interesting, but you must be a pretty good artist to "draw dreams".

@akalinus I often see myself living in a small hut at a small village located near a dense jungle. This has been my long cherished dream.I want to realise it and I will succeed one day.

I am sure that you will someday. I think that you really like the jungle and the jungle creatures.

@akalinus Thanks.I have a lot of responsibilities towards my family.I'm trying to discharge them asap.At the same time I have started talking to some villagers who come here to sell their stock.Besides doing everything possible to realise my dream I have left everything on God.Let me see what He decides.

I have heard of shrinks asking people to do that. I think it is mostly kids but I'm not sure. It is interesting to read what you dreamed a year or two later.

No, I've never thought about drawing my dreams. I'm not that great an artist anyway.

I'm not either. I can visualize what I would like to draw but something gets lost in the translation.

That’s a good idea to draw my dreams. I do get vivid dreams most of the time. I haven’t tried drawing them yet but hopefully sometime in the future.

I don't think I'll be able to do so. I'd rather tell those dreams with people, but not draw them.

I'm told that everyone dreams but, for some reason, I rarely remember my dreams, except for the occasional really vivid flash of a scene in a dream.

They say you have four or five dreams a night. Some are so vivid that they wake me up. Are your dreams good or bad?
