Shopping Around For Christmas Gifts

This morning, I decided to start looking around online for Christmas gifts. Not an easy task, I am already getting headaches from it. I am searching for gifts for little girls aged 4 and 13 months, and also for 3 and 4 years girls. Needless to say that they already have a lot of things, that's what makes it so hard to make up my mind, I also contribute to their Education Fund on every birthdays and Christmas, But I need something concrete to give my granddaughters some presents to open on Christmas Day, Ah! Decisions, decisions! Have you started doing some "looking around" for Christmas? Do you find it hard?

We don't celebrate Christmas, but I seem to shop all year to pick up gifts for my family and close friends. My grandkids get deposits for their education funds for their birthdays and on Hanukkah and cash for the family to spend on things whenever they want as special indulgences.

@marlina I saw that. The other grandparents took care of undergraduate school already. My son and I are working on grad school little by little.

We are only the two of us now, no shopping for Christmas. I really can suggest nothing for such young little girls, but I am sure you will find something pretty.

@marlina I would like to buy something for my husband, but I have no idea what he would like to receive. I am going to suggest to create an Amazon wishlist... for our friends, just in case.

Shopping for Christmas presents is one thing I love doing but this time with the pandemic it's almost impossible to do that.

Yes I started looking around for Ideas on Christmas gifts too. I've started a little shopping the one that's going to be the hardest for me this year is my nephew. He is going to be 13 next month and no clue what he is into now a days.

@BelleStarr That's okay if you have a lot of room to store the gifts. Not afraid of someone going there and be "noisy"?

I have ordered 3 gifts online and received 1 of them, only the gifts for my hubby so far. I have not even given a thought as to what we will give to our son and daughter-in-law. It is different for me for Christmas since we do not have any little ones. We usually see our daughter-in-laws 4 little girls, but with the pandemic we probably will not spend time with them, so I will not be buying them gifts. Have you searched the hot gift list for little girls that age, that might give you some ideas.

@marlina My grandchildren are older and I will probably send them gift cards since I am 6 hours away. My brother and I sent them actual gifts last year and it cost over $100 for shipping.

I hear you, its hard to know what to get kids for holidays. My little grand daughter just turned 5 and she loves to help daddy cook so I got her an apron and had her name put on it, I also got her a set of cooking utensils of her own she can cook with. I am now looking for a gift for my grand daughters bday, she is turning 21.

Haven't started anything yet but I always start with a list. I hope we could meet with relatives who live far from us this Christmas season. Some people are still afraid of gatherings. :(

Back when I do shop for Christmas, I shop as early as August and as late as October. Past couple of years though, I just give cash as gifts.

Finding a right gift for others is a tough decision especially when they already have a lot of things. In such cases, I prefer to give them a gift card or some cash. But it always seems more cared for when you give a gift.

@marlina I know they like to see those big beautifully packed gifts. Gift cards or cash don't appeal to them. They like to unravel the surprise.
