Howdy y'all - you can hear I have been watching the Kelly Clarkson show as I have adopted her 'y'all' to greet people in the last of days . . . maybe a habit I should not adopt - but for this post, it's most apt!.
"Halloween is the contraction of All Hallows' Eve, a holiday observed on October 31, the evening before All Saints' (or All Hallows') Day. The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints and initiates the season of Allhallowtide, which lasts three days and concludes with All Souls' Day."
However, Halloween is not celebrated in all countries: "Although it's derived from ancient festivals and religious rituals, Halloween is still celebrated today in a number of countries around the globe such as Ireland, Canada and the United States"
We do not celebrate this holiday in South Africa but you will find the odd reminder that Holloween is nearing by the American franchise that sell their wares in the shops.
This morning I was up at the crack of dawn to collect some Halloween Krispy Kreme doughnuts at our local station for my grandchildren (and my children).
It's a limited edition for the week, so I am seizing the moment to enjoy the pleasures of some spooky one-eyed Hallow-sweet-treats!
To all those that celebrate - Happy Halloween week!
Show us the treats Krispy Kreme are giving you in your area and country PLEASE!

I haven’t been to a Krispy Creme in a few years. Those doughnuts look so colorful and tasty.

@Tampa_girl7 they have been in SA about 2 years now, but in our little city since the week before lockdown, so we have all been enjoying them as our treats as they are sold at the garages (gas stations)
