I am blessed with some great students this year. My younger gang, especially, are enthusiastic and joyful. One of their assignments was to make an art project (a halloween monster) with their parents and then make up a story about their monster. When they came back to school, they had to bring their monster and story for show and tell. They were so cute. One of my first graders made the monster in the picture, and his story was really good for a 1st grader.
Pictured is monster Bob.

The story: "We all went trick or treating, and this monster came out and started chasing us. We were very scared so we ran and ran. But the monster was really fast. My brother, Aiden, started crying cause he thought the monster wanted to eat us. Finally, we found a place to hide, but the monster found us. He told us he was a friendly monster and his name was Bob. He said he just wanted friends, but everyone was scared of him. I think everyone needs a friend, so I decided to try. Then Aiden said he would be his friend too. Then my Grams and my parents said we could be friends but we had to stay close to them until we got to know Bob. Bob invited all of us back to his house and we had a big Halloween party. Tomorrow Bob is going to come to school with us and my Grams is going to teach him to write and say his ABC's.

@gnatsmom The children's stories are really filled with wonder. Thank you for narrating Bob's story. I like it very much. A bit similar to that award-winning animation entitled 'Abominable.'
