The leaves have changed colors and have fallen. The tides have brought surges and devastating floods. The wounds have been inflicted and have left indelible scars. Yet all will be right in His time. The leaves will regrow. The calm will come from the seas. Love will emerge from the deeply wounded hearts. All in God's time. Time heals all wounds.

So true, time heals all wounds, we only have scars to remember.

And sometimes, even the scars fade. I had a huge scar on my back because a bee bit me in 2007. The bite swell into a dangerous infection because I was not able to apply first aid. I was confined and given a huge dose of antibiotics. When the swelling subsided, my back had a new design. Sigh! I even showed it to family and friends. Thirteen years after, my scar is just the size of a dime. I just wanted to tell my story, in the hope of finding some relevance.

@LadyDuck Oh my, that sounded like a life-defining tale at the beginning of child's adventure story, a mark for life, a scar to survive with, a wound to remember, a reason to live. Nope, I cannot even imagine how that accident affected you physically, mentally, and emotionally as a child, I would not even attempt a description of a child's desperation to mobilize an arm, because for sure there is a sadness within difficult to bear. My nephew was a child prodigy in piano music. One morning, when he was 9, he went biking with his friends, bumped into a car and somersaulted into the air and hit the pavement head first. He was operated on, a chip taken off his skull, survived, but never regained the strength on his left arm. That changed his life.

@eileenleyva I have a 35 cm. long scar on my right arm. When I was 6 years old (64 years ago), I fell and broke my right elbow. The doctor made a mistake when he applied the plaster, another doctor had to remove the plaster and I needed surgery because my nerve and tendons were going to be cut and my arm would have been paralyzed. After 64 years the scar is still there and still as visible as day 1 and I will never forget those 2 years without being able to use my arm.

Sometimes this happens just to remind us that we need to connect with our love ones and be concerned about our neighbors. When things like this happens we are reminded to care for our surroundings and our love ones affected by it. It reminds us of being vulnerable and we are all connected to one another.

@eileenleyva Kind of guilty too. My father who lives in Bicol for sometime I have not communicated with and when the typhoon hit our place I suddenly have felt it has been a while that I communicated with him. So hoping that he is okay over there out lines went open again. Now we are constantly checking on each other to see how he is over there. I am glad he is okay and there are just few banana trees to clean and no other trees went down.

Your words hit me right on target. I am guilty. I am not connected with my loved ones and am not actually concerned with my immediate neighbors. The fences and the gates have kept us apart.

@rsa101 Glad you were able to connect with your father after the storm. Glad also he is all right. Does your father live alone?

All of that's true. We'll all come out stronger for it, too.

you are right... it is just a matter of faith to make you hold on and wait even though it's taking too long and the pain seems so unbearable. Have a great day! To Lord Jesus be the glory!

Surely that will happen. For now, put your heart at rest. In time, our good Lord will give you justice.
