October 28 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a good day. Five days to my surgery.
I'm thankful I didn't need my walker today. The next time I'll use it will be Monday when I take it with me to the hospital.
I'm thankful for my daughter. It's her birthday today. I could only leave a message telling her Happy Birthday on both phone and FB. I guess she's having too much fun today and she should.
I'm thankful for a good night's sleep. I finally figured out how to sleep through the night with only getting up once not multiple times. Two bottles of water. No more.
I'm thankful for the food on my table and a roof over my head. And heat in winter. Somehow we moved from Fall to Winter very quickly this year. I don't mind. It's my favorite time of year.
I'm thankful for a call from my sister. We talked for quite a while. She will be staying a week when I get out of rehab.
I'm thankful for working on Vendetta and New Horizons: Predators and Blue Fire. Vendetta is coming along well.
I'm thankful I woke up this morning to enjoy a nice day, even though I can't go outside.
I'm thankful for downtime watching favorite TV shows I haven't seen in many years. I love my Roku.
I'm thankful I finished the notifications this morning and will work on them again before going to bed.
I'm thankful for getting most of my fitness goals. I achieved 10K steps but missed the last hour of the hourly steps. Oh well.
Okay, that's a snapshot of my day. What are you thankful for today?
Tomorrow is my last therapy session for my right knee. This week feels like it's going fast and slow. Friday is my post-op appointment and the COVID test prior to surgery on Monday.

That's a long list, and a good one at that.
As for me, I'm thankful that both my packages arrived safely from amazon. I'm thankful my husband had a good day at work. I am optimistic and hopeful that he'll get the vacation hours he put in.

Roku is very handy! Im loving facts of life, cold case, growing pains, etc on the roku channel. Nevermind being able to watch hulu and netflix by the roku too. So glad we got these new tvs with roku on them. Need one for livingroom now.

Add peacock to your Roku and you'll have even more favorites. There are some there that aren't anywhere else. I canceled my Hulu. I wasn't watching it enough to account for the cost.
Thank you. I hope she did too. I'll head over to FB to see how she celebrated. I know she's planning to celebrate on Halloween too.

@just4him i do have it on there but haven't used it yet, well in my room anyway. Ive watched it a few times in the last few months downstairs.
Hulu is my bfs so i dont have to worry about paying

I am surprised that you achieved 10K steps yesterday ,even though you were still recuperating from the right knee surgery.

Thank you. It's a lot of work. The more I work with my knee, the better it is. I'm ready for my next surgery.

phew! thank goodness ya said such a beast 'twas a lego creation. e'en so, i'm purty certain if'n i came 'cross such i'd run screamin' like my hair 'twas'n fire, lol. not a fan 'f spiders, the bigger quite terrifyin'.
happiest 'f belated birthday wishes fer yer daughter.
i dunno what day i'd be'n?? mercy..lemme check when ya penned this. 'k, this 'twas'n regards to yesterday, lol.
thankful the water mess got straightened out, hubs err replacin' switch last saturday. water 'twas notfrozen, the pump'd no power to 't..... thankful mr. billy'd pity'n our area'n the blizzard ne'er happened here. thankful the sun finally shone'n all 'ts glory 'bout 4ish pm. most wondrous sight to 'hold 's such'd not been seen since saturday. very thankful fer the moisture'n all forms which touched these lands. direly needed.
doin' the countdown with ya! glad yer gettin' yer winter early. 'twas not that 'mpressed here, lol.

me, too. wish i'd known such 't least monday though. could'a gotten't straightened out then 'n not'd the stress 'f no water. not fer myself, but the horses.
the moisture 'twas grand'n we'll take such'n whate'er form (preferably not hail stones) such comes. but those winds...days'n days 'f high winds wears'n the nerves e'en with pleasant temps.

@crazyhorseladycx She's just being herself. I shouldn't be, but I'm used to it.
At least now you have it fixed so it shouldn't be a problem for the rest of winter. I'm glad you got the necessary moisture you needed to stop the drought.

Thank you. I checked FB since she didn't bother to answer the phone yesterday. She had a great day from the pictures I saw.
I'm glad the water problem is fixed and it was only no power to the pump. I'm very happy you didn't get the blizzard they predicted. You should be thawing out with the sun shining at long last. I'm glad you got the moisture you needed, even if it was not the way you wanted to get it.

Nothing to be sorry about. This is needed and wanted surgery. I'm having a knee replacement for both knees. I will soon be pain-free from arthritis. This is my Christmas gift to me this year. My right knee is doing very well and Monday I will have the left knee done.

I'm thankful to see my kitty looks in better condition, she's not too mucky now :-) I thankful that I can still repot my passionflower which had accidentally broken by my brother
