I am in need of a good vacuum cleaner. The one I have is okay, but I really need one that has great suction. Mine doesn't really pull up the pile on my carpet. It always looks flat and walked on.
About 10 years ago, before I moved in with my brother, I had a great vacuum. I got it off of the HSN website so I could make payments on it and for the life of me, I can't even remember what brand it was.
So, I need your advice. What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have?

I have 3 cordless Dyson animal stick vacs. I love them. Super suction and light enough to lift over your head for corners

@marlina lol No I have one in Florida too, I do have a tri-level house and I do need one more for the middle floor. It is just so much more convenient to have one on each floor. I have thought about getting the shark cordless but I am not sure it is anywhere near as powerful as my Dyson. I think I need to get one for the cottage in PA too lol I do love them.

My husband and I have an eltrolux. I am not sure if they really make them, anymore. But, I am sure you'll find something you like. It's amazing what can hide in a carpet. My husband is so grateful we just have an area rug in our living room. because the rest of the house is tile. He never thought he'd like tile, but we bought this house anyway and now he loves it.

With having pets I have been using the shark vacuums. They seem to do great.

i've a shark.
from my 'xperience, the flattened carpet 'tis most oft loads 'f hairs'n the beater bar, not a suction issue. 'tis simple to remedy. though a tad time consumin'.

I have a Hoover. Check Consumer Reports. They list some great vacuums. You might be able to get issues at your library.
