Doing Cold Compress

The area injected I think is slowly swelling. As I can remember with my experience back then, the muscle within the injected area will harden requiring cold compress. I am now doing the cold compress per advice of the administering nurse. Have you been injected with anti tetanus vaccine? An anti rabies for me is not yet but I am not wishing it though to happen.

It will numb and harden the muscle of the area if you would not apply compress on it.

The cold compress helps to reduce the pain due to the swelling of muscle on the injected area. This will get better after few days but in one month, I'll get one shot again.

@ZedSmart I was a boy who goes around the neighborhood. That's the reason why I was bitten by these dogs.

Hmmm, I don't know eds, but every time my kids get vaccine, doctor suggests to compress with warm water, not cold.

@ZedSmart doctor said warm water good for blood circulation, so it won't be swollen much.

I'm too scared to get injected, and I think the last time I got vaccine injection was when I kid at school and I really don't remember that moment at all. I'm like getting amnesia :-)

I did get injection for tetanus once after I step on a rustic nail. The pain wasn't so bad as the wound wasn't deep. I wasn't even bleeding much. But the injection was painful for days! How come the cure was more painful than the cause?

Yes, that's why the compress to lessen the pain but still, you're undergo the pain for days due to the injection. Punctured wound I think is more dangerous because it's difficult to clean and can absorb water.
