Do you share your travel photos on FB immediately?

Good morning mylotters!
We all love to share our travel photos with friends and relatives. In this era of digital media, a lot of people love to take photos using their smartphones and upload them immediately on social media.
Sure it's fun to upload them immediately and enjoy the interactions you get from your friends.
Do you do that too?
Of course, there is nothing wrong in doing that. Especially that almost everyone is doing that.
However, do you know that by doing that you are exposing yourself and your family members to potential online predators?
Yes! People with bad intentions are using technology too and they use it to look for possible victims.
By posting your family vacation on that same date, you are telling predators that no one is left in your homes. Or at least, your wife and/or your kids are alone in your home.
With that information alone, they can think a lot of things that could put your life and property in danger.
Stay safe.

I've heard of this before and it really is better to delay uploads.
I sometimes do but if there's no one left at home, I'd rather not.
Other reasons why I also don't do real-time uploads is that instead of enjoying the vacation, you are busy with your phone or other gadgets.

I agree with you on both points. You would end up spending more time on your gadgets rather than enjoying your company.

@GodServantme Wherever we are we must keep it secret except to people we can trust.

@jrlcentral I read your title while not wearing my glasses and thought you were asking about sharing pictures with the FBI. I don’t, but nor do I put them on FB.

LOL! Why on Earth would someone share a photo with the FBI? Unless you're an informant, maybe. hehehe.
Usually, I would post them in private and usually a month later. :D

@jrlcentral yes. I do use social media, but I don't share private things. Just read the news, artist, recipe, join Cooking group.

Last time I shared a photo on FB was in 2012
I have a FB account, but I hardly ever use it. Many of my family members and friends use FB a lot more than I do, and I think it very important to be careful. It is much safer to upload photos when you return from your vacation. If I were an active FB member I wouldn't share my photos during a vacation. It is too risky.

I upload pics often but not all of them are shared most of them are private. It's sad that people can easily download your photos and do bad about it.
