Imagine if You Could Remember All of Your Memories?!

Baby ME!

This picture is of little old me and my mom on Easter. Of course, if I didn't have this picture. I'd never remember or even know how happy I was that day. Thankfully for pictures. We get to remember those memories. I'm not sure what's going on with my hair, but I definitely looked like a super happy kid. (In most of my baby pictures!) Either happy, or looking like a trouble maker. From what I was told, I was quite the little pain at times. So don't let my innocent look fool ya too much! I'm kind of thankful I can't remember every memory, some memories probably are best unforgotten. But at least pictures, normally capture the best moments! I do have a pretty good memory though for the most part, I can remember some things that happened as far back as the age of 3-4.. just don't ask me what I did last week.. *Image is of my Mom and I*

My long term memory is fine. I recall stuff I learned in school. However, don't ask me to remember something the next day. I think for most people, short term memory lacks, but long term sticks.

I 100% agree with you! My short term memory is really forgetful. Sometimes think I'm losing my mind because I can't remember what I did a couple days ago. I have a mood app called Daylio and some days I forget to write in it. So if I did, I'll be like.."Dang! I can't remember what I did 3 days ago...so not sure how my mood was?" Definitely this is true! At least for me aswell!

I can get real scatterbrained. Even when I have a good routine going. Last night I fell asleep on the couch and forgot that I had to do laundry. SO, when I woke up I did it.@x0MandyLynn0x

My first memory is being dropped by a teenager down stairs, and my leg going through the wall, breaking my leg. I was two. It's a faint memory, but it's there.

It is funny which doors open up in our mind to which memories.

Yes, sadly for me a lot of the memories I do remember the most are not so good. But I have so many pictures of myself as a baby and a kid. Where I get to see I had lots of nice times.

I look at some of my childhood pictures and wonder what was going on at the time. I am thankful to whoever took the pictures to capture a moment in time.

Right!? If it wasn't for some of those pictures, I probably wouldn't of remembered certain times so well. Or that I went to that place at that time, etc. Love pictures!

Me too. I got pictures I try to remember but blank it is. So pictures will do. I got a 1 year old picture with a special doll. I don't remember it, but have the doll carefully preserved.

Agree. Some memories are better forgotten. But it would be amazing for exam tho.

Definitely some memories are better forgotten. But I think it's common for people who have had bad memories in the past, to remember those the most. Unless they blocked them out.

That is a very beautiful picture - thank you for sharing! My memory is a funny thing. There are numerous times that I will forget a thing or two that I need to buy, or even forget what I came inside a room for. But even then until now, I can still remember my favorite doll when I was two, or the name of my favorite teacher in 1st grade.

I can remember all the details in the past and until now. I hope I will not be forgetful in the future.

I can remember very far back and recall things as I look at photos. In this way I train my brain and attempt to recall where the photo was taken and what was happening at the moment,

Great picture. As you said, there are some things I wish I could remember; but there are some things I'm glad I've forgotten.

Memories bring emotions along with it. Sadly though , if we happen to remember all memories we are bound to be tormented by the bad memories too.
