Hunger Pangs

United States

Good Morning! I went on a walk today. I didn't walk yesterday because I wasn't at home in the morning and just felt like being lazy. Today I walked but perhaps not as long as I should have. I am going to be going to the thrift store to sell some things in a little while so I can walk around there too. Last night I didn't feel hungry at all until around 9 pm. I ate dinner at 5 just because I knew I needed to, but my tummy didn't tell me it was hungry until 9 pm. I fed it chocolate to shush it up! It was a low carb crunch bar type of chocolate. Milk Chocolate with Quinoa. Five squares of it was like 6 carbs I think? Anyway, I ate a total of 10 carbs yesterday that's the lowest carb count I think I've ever had. I know this is the season for eating more, but I am trying to do the exact opposite. I want to get to my goal weight sooner rather than later. I'll be around but I also need to work on my writing.. I took a couple of days off....

Good job with the carbs. I should eat less carbs too. Good luck with your writing.

Thank You, Thank You and good luck with eating less carbs. This time of the year is the hardest for cutting carbs for sure. Getting rid of bread, pasta and sodas is a big step towards it though.

@LindaOHio Ah. I drink water or coffee now I used to like drinking a coca cola once a week, but well.. I can't do that on the keto diet. Have you ever tried shirataki noodles?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I drink sugar free soda. Pasta is a big thing for me.

10 total carbs? That's amazing! Low carb crunch bar? Sounds interesting! I make my own with sugar free chocolate chips and chocolate protein puffs :)

It's from the Ross Chocolates brand. Ooh! I bet those are delicious, it sure sounds like it! Yeah, I wasn't trying to go that low carb in one day, but I just wasn't hungry so I waited.

@MommyOfEli2013 I need to look for Lilly's Choccy chips around here. I know that the store I usually go to doesn't have them. True. I think today will be another low carb day. I had a 3 carb atkins bar, and a 1 carb pouch of tuna. I'm having hamburgers today so...

@ScribbledAdNauseum Not sure I have heard of that brand. Oh they are very delicious...I use Lily's chocolate chips for those. Well sometimes it just works out like that! But if you aren't hungry, then you aren't!

Yeah! I feel you. I put on a lot of lbs when I first quit my job because I wasn't walking around or doing much of anything.

You are doing so well Amber I admire you for counting carbs. As you know I have put some of the weight I lost back on, but I just dont have the discipline.

It's really hard to keep on track. I've gone through so many diets where I failed. I had to decline foods several times the other day when I was celebrating a friend's birthday. You'll get there, sometimes it just takes smaller steps.

I am really trying. I want next year to be better for me health wise. I want to be at a weight that I am proud of. I've already seen the good health benefits of the keto diet.

@Nevena83 Thank You. I am proud of my persistence. I wasn't always like that when trying to lose weight in the past.
