November 9 - What I was Thankful for Yesterday

Good morning. It's a very wet rainy day in NE Wisconsin. We're supposed to get almost 2 inches of rain by tonight. Then the wind kicks in with gusts up to 50 mph tonight until tomorrow morning. So, yesterday I didn't post what I was thankful for and realized it when I went to bed last night. Yesterday was a good day once the therapists arrived. I got outside to walk around in the record-breaking warm weather. I'm thankful I could get my shoes on by myself without help. Something I couldn't do with the other knee until I was home a couple of weeks. I'm thankful OT tested me on normal activities around the home, and found I am pretty self-sufficient and discharged me to come home. Then in the afternoon, the physical therapist discharged me when I could complete some simple things including stairs which I didn't do last time. I wasn't asked to do stairs last time because I don't have any to deal with unless I go to my son's for laundry. So, I could do simple stairs too. I'm thankful I signed all the paperwork from both OT and PT so I can go home. I'm thankful I only had one more night on that bed. I'm thankful I kept up with the notifications yesterday and got to see many of you and found out what you're up to also. Okay, that was my day yesterday in a nutshell. I did watch my shows on Peacocktv and Netflix. I'm ready to go home. The doctor was just here and the nurse should be in to help me pack up so I can leave. My son will be here at 1 to get me outta here. What were you thankful for yesterday? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

Yesterday, I was thankful I got my tires taken care of and they only charged me 14 bucks for each tire in terms of the labor. I did have to pay the old tire disposal fee though.

My bed is comfortable. It's my back that's a pain right now. Thank you.

So happy you got discharged and are home again. I hope you rest well tonight in your own bed. I am thankful for the colors that have really popped on the trees over the past couple of days. With it being so wet as it has been we thought colors wouldn't be as bright as in autumn pasts but God used his brush and painted lovely vibrant colors.

God's paintbrush this time of year is totally awesome! I'm glad the colors are so vibrant. Thank you. It's good to be home in my own bed.

Thank you. I'm very happy to be home. Stairs were the hardest because my right knee didn't want to do it. Even though it's the better of the two right now. It's also swollen because it's working harder than the other knee. I'm glad you have sunshine and those comical birds and your horses are relaxed.

Yes, two days less than last time. I hope so. There's supposition we're going back into a full lockdown next week. I hope not. I would like to get back to the pool next month.

We are also experiencing very warm weather for November. Mid 70's which I am thankful for since raking leaves in cold weather is not pleasant. Seems your knee is coming along nicely now. And yes, as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz says: "there's no place like home."

Yes, it's been an unusual November. We're now back to normal temps. I'm sure the 70s are better for raking than the colder temps. Yes, it is. Thank you. I'm so happy to be home.
