Let's suppose there really was voter fraud. What then follows?

As everyone must know by now, the US Presidential election is in a state of limbo because some people - i.e. the losing Republican side - allege that the voting was tarnished by widespread fraud.
One has to remember that Donald Trump has said for a long time that mail-in voting was a huge mistake because it was bound to be subject to massive fraud, despite there being absolutely no evidence to support this claim. He also said that if he were to lose the election, it would only be because there had been massive fraud.
OK - so he lost the election and has promptly made good his promise to claim massive fraud! One wonders what would have happened if he had won, despite all the mail-in voting - would he suddenly have had a "Road to Damascus" moment and seen that maybe he was wrong all along?
As things stand, proof of fraud has been very hard to come by. There have been accusations of dead people voting and other illegal votes being cast, but with no proof to back them up. One has to remember, of course, that if such an illegal vote is discovered, it can only be because it came to the notice of an election official and - because of this - it would immediately have been discounted. We are therefore being asked to believe that thousands of other such cases slipped through the net and entered the final tallies - in other words, mere supposition without a shred of evidence.
But let's just suppose that evidence of colossal malpractice really does show up. What would happen then?
It would indeed be remarkable if such dodgy dealing, to the extent that majorities of tens of thousands of votes could be overturned, were only to have happened in states that the Democrats needed to flip in order to win. It would also be very strange if it was only votes for Joe Biden that were illegally cast by the thousand. Surely it is not the case that one party organisation is composed of angels and the other of demons!
So if there has been massive voter fraud, it must presumably have been universal, and every result - in all 50 states - must be open to question. So what happens then? Is the whole election declared null and void and do we start all over again? That would seem to be the logical outcome!
And during the re-run, will mail-in voting be banned, even in those states that have been doing this for years with no problem whatsoever?
Maybe the best solution is simply to accept things as they are, allow the transition to continue and to inaugurate Joe Biden as the new President next January.

i read a great article from a statistician.
Let's say there was voter fraud. Biden won by 5 million votes (a modern record). Let's assume the GOP is right and it is wide-spead democratic fraud. They say 2 to 1. Ok
so for Trump to win the popular vote, he would need for that to be nearly 8 million fraudulent votes.
or a lot!

@indexer it is staggering, but when your ego won't let you acknowledge you are not the best.
