I'm Dying My Hair Again.

Hey there, everyone. I wasn't planning to post today, but I changed my mind.
I'm attaching a picture of two boxes of Garnier Nutrisse hair dye to this post. I bought the Darkest Berry Burgundy (Raspberry Jam) from Target to use on the top layer of my hair. The Sweet Grenadine (Medium Intense Magenta) was ordered from Amazon to use on the underneath section of my hair (also known as "Peekaboo Highlights). The boxes were about $7-$8 each, but I'm also including tax. Also, I know the shades aren't too different, at least not on the boxes.
So, my hair is shoulder length, as my 19yr old niece was kind enough to trim it recently. This means I probably wouldn't have used the full box of either on my hair, which feels like a waste of money. And when you pair that with seeing the pink color in the bottle, I decided to just do my whole head in the magenta. Or well, I asked my niece to do my whole head in magenta lol. I figured it'd also be easier than mixing two boxes and switching colors halfway through.
I have about 20-25 minutes before I'm due to rinse out my hair. The shower is in use and I need to wait for the timer to go off anyway. I've used magenta in L'Oreal (the hicolor for dark hair only), but I've never used it in Garnier before, so we'll see how it looks or if it even takes to my hair. My natural hair color is medium/ash brown, btw. If I don't like it, I still have my burgundy, and if I do like it, I'll do the burgundy the next time I dye my hair.
I guess we'll see what happens when I rinse it out. Until then, I'm going to finish up my work. I should be finished soon. Take care, everyone. :)

We are pretty much done with dying here. I have never dyed my hair, and it is going almost completely gray. My wife's hair IS completely gray. We have given up. I am 47 and she is 53. We are just letting the gray shine and that's it. My gray right now is a "dirty" gray, but it is getting better. My wife says it makes me look distinguished. I think she needs new glasses. lol. But I am completely comfortable with my wife just letting her gray go.

I'm 35 and just do it for fun. I work from home (not related to the pandemic), so I want to have that kind of fun while I can, if that makes sense. I mean, if I ever have to get back out there, it may not be allowed. If you're both fine with the gray, then there's no reason to dye over it unless you want to do it for fun or whatnot. :)

I mean, I *want* to try two, but maybe another time. I'm happy with the magenta. I'll probably do it 1-2 more times, and then go back to brown by spring or summer, and then I may do my dark burgundy again after my sister's wedding, since I already have it lol.

@Courtlynn Thank you! It's my choice to go back to brown for the wedding. I think it'll just be easier than worrying about the maintenance, clashing with my dress, etc.
