I had a sad phone call.

I just had a phone call from my favorite aunt. She can just come back to pay her last visit to her sister while she was alive.
My other aunt is not very well. She is 103 years old and every day she is worse. I would not want to live so much. She is tired of living.
Her next visit will be to the cemetary. There´s not much more anyone can do. She was sad and shocked. My aunt Mariechen is the only one left of my aunt Ilse´s siblings. First all of her brothers died and now she will be left alone.
I would not want to live for so long. My aunt Ilse, the baby of her generation, is 97 years old.

I understand for my Mother was the same as your Aunt. My Mom was ready to go to heaven and she went 3 years ago. My cousin's Aunt was the same. She passed this year. We prayed and cried for we do miss them. I wave to the sky hoping they see me not forgetting them. But it's difficult towards the end of life for I know I'll never see them or hear them again ever. I light candles on her birthday and the day Mom left Earth for heaven. I visit healthier.org to light a virtual candle in memory of her.

Thanks. Do you think we'll be like your Aunt and my Mom when our time comes? We have in Hawaii Our Care Our Choice Act that if you have a terminal illness you van voluntarily end your life. If I get a terminal illness till I can't stand then I'll go for OCOCA. But ideally I'd rather go peacefully in my sleep when my time comes.

She was blessed to reach the age she reached, However, I do agree with you it does seem a very long life and I could not imagine spending all those extra years alone, Many blessings to you,

I'm sorry for your loss, or possible soon-to-be loss. 103 is a good age. With people dying so young, hearing people living well into their 90's is heartwarming.

I don´t want to live so long. My aunt Ilse called me today and she said that she was going to be the last oof her generation. I don´t want that.
