Something You Have Lost... Never To Be Seen Again

I'm sure that we have all lost something and no matter how hard you looked, it simply vanished. That happened to me about 15 years ago. I was volunteering at my kid's school and that particular day, I was doing yard duty. One earring just fell out of my ear. It should have been soooo easy to find. I had used a stud to hold another earring in place. I felt the second earring fall so I knew that the study should be in an area that would be easy to search. I looked for ages. I even gathered the kids around and said that if anyone found the earring, I would give them $10.00. I think that every kid in the school yard was on their hands and knees, looking for that earring. No one could find it. What made it even worse... the stud was the other half of a Christmas present that my husband had given me years earlier. Of all the jewelry I had that I never wanted to lose... that would have been it. Someday someone will uncover it and wonder the story of its loss. I hope that it becomes a good luck charm for them... Now it's your turn. Have you ever lost anything that simply seemed to have vanished into thin air??

I think I lost a lot of things. One of them is my watch, it was costs around $25. Not really expensive, but I save my pocket money for that. I remember put it in the drawer. But I couldn't found it. I was suspecting my sister. She loves to borrow things without ask me first. I think she lost it somewhere, just like when she lost my pure gold earrings. She admitted the earrings because I saw her wore it before. But she denied the watch, and I have no proves.

I think that we all have siblings like that. My little sister loved to play with my makeup... sad about your watch and earrings though!

My mom lost the diamond out of her ring as well. She was horrified! Here's hoping that you stumble across it when you least expect it... the sun will zero in on it and make it glitter!!

Oh... how awful. That certainly beats my single earring. Hears hoping that it will one day show up right out of the blue.

@Hate2Iron I find looking for a lost earring is like looking for a lost contact lens. I have lost contact lenses and it is expensive to replace them. You may hear them fall but to find them is very hard. I am so sorry that you lost an earring given to you by your husband and now important it was to you. I told you that I lost an contact lens and just could not find it how hard I searched for it.

I almost thing that a contact lens might be even harder to find. I never thought of how to lose one of those.

@Hate2Iron It is very very hard to find. You are lucky if you do find it.

What I find the strangest is the fact that they seem to vanish into thin air...
