I'm Thinking to apply for the Job Position

There are numbers of job vacancies to be filled in for our local government offices. I saw it at the city's information web page. I'm eyeing for a certain position which I believed fit to my qualifications. The deadline of application submission will be on the first week of December. It's a nature here that if you're a supporter of any politicians or near by the people who are close or trusted by the person who holds power, the likelihood of having you hired in the government is high. I'm lacking the latter qualifications. I'll think about it.

I know that kind of tradition, and I never support it. People should not see nepotism as something natural. It's not good and not fair

the condition you referred to at the end is widespread,if you have powerful background, you never worry about good job.if not, only rely on youself.Unfortunately,i was born in a poor family,no any background,so i never count on others, just count on myself.

I so believe in your statement. Those who have not the influence will try harder and work harder.

If I have to base my chances with the practice and the experience of others, I think I will have the same ending but, yes we must try to see result.

Try and do your best. But don't put too much hope or you'll be sad if you don't get it. I don't like nepotism but it seems to be practiced worldwide. One of the reason why I prefer my work now. I don't need cable to get it.

If you think you are qualified, then go for it. Make sure to submit all the required documents and keep a copy for backup. I still think the same way until this time but I keep on trying. When I applied for the position 10 years ago, there was no guarantee that I will be hired but I tried anyway. They gave a pre qualifying exam for all the applicants and perhaps a blessing, I topped the exam. So, maybe they just cannot disregard someone who caught their attention. I was on rank 3 on the overall assessment and got the position. Just give your best.

@ZedSmart That's right. We should believe in ourselves. You can practice answering common interview questions. There are a lot of videos in Youtube that can serve as a guide. Also make sure to be respectful to everyone.

Thank you. I do believe that if we don't try, we cannot see result. So whatever would be the outcome, at least we take the chance and never wasted the opportunity to get notice.

@ZedSmart My husband always thought you shouldn't give up your old job until you had a new one to go to. Of course, it all depends on the circumstances.
