Day 103 Promise 562 Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (KJV) Nobody gets along with everyone. People find themselves at odds with other people and often become enemies. Paul told the Romans they were God’s enemies before they accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord. It was only then that God reconciled them through the death of His Son. As Christians, when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, you found peace and joy because God accepted you. You are no longer God’s enemy. Instead, you belong to His family as a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. Galatians 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differs nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. It is better to be reconciled to God than to be His enemy. Let’s pray: Father, help me seek reconciliation with those I live and work with, just as You sought reconciliation with me.
