Day 107 Promise 566 Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he who raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit who dwells in you. People like to be their own person. Fully in charge, making all the decisions. They don’t like being controlled by anyone. Paul told the Romans Jesus and the Holy Spirit lived in them when they accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. As Christians, you know the Holy Spirit lives in you and helps you make the right decisions. The Holy Spirit keeps you from sin and gives you a new life of righteousness. Jesus promised His disciples the Holy Spirit would come to them and live in them. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (KJV) Because the Holy Spirit lives in you, you are no longer dead in your sin, but alive in Christ Jesus. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Holy Spirit who lives in me and keeps me from sin. Help me depend on the Holy Spirit to make the right decisions for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 24 November 2020 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

The Spirit doesn't dwell to those who are sinners only for the righteous.

The Holy Spirit is one part of the Trinity, of God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each has its own role to play though, it seems. The Holy Spirit is really equal to Jesus, and to God too. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of love, and God, and his Son, are that love too. Love is full of truths of its own, and when we love, these truths "belong",(or become a part of us) to us then too. The Holy Spirit helps us to live from love, and to understand its truths, better and better in our lives. Thanks for those readings. I like the idea of us all having access to a comforter.
