There's a saying that promises are made to be broken.
Were you able to fulfill your promises?
We do make promises; for ourselves, people dear to us, and people around us. Regardless of the extent, we have the obligation to honor our words or be able to fulfill what has been promised. However, there are times of failure delivery whatsoever the reasons. This could result frustration from the receiving end and may lead to distrust in spite of the chances if happened one more or most of time.

I don't make unnecessary promises unless I am sure about fulfilling it. And at times when I fail my words, I am quick to apologize. That's the least I can do.

@ZedSmart And it's a courtsey to apologize when we fail. Nothing wrong in that but people don't do that due to pseudo ego

I always try my best to honor any promises that I make. I would not try to make promises that I couldn't fulfill. So it really get on my nerves when people don't honor a promises they make to me. That would probably be the last time I believe such person.

I have promises for myself in 2021 in the form of new year resolution. I hope I am able to do it. We'll see.
