Another shooting in our district

Philippines
November 24, 2020 9:06pm CST
I've always thought that the quarantine would lessen crimes such as this. Wrong! this cop was shot by hired gun men and their temporary stop cause a traffic. It baffles me because no one tried to stop them. The wife and daughter got away but I think they were not the target. There must be a huge reason he got gunned down like that, He's probably part of intelligence and wants to silence him. Reminds me of that celebrity who was also gunned but survived. Then few days later they think it was a fake assasination just to divert the attention of a tv station getting it's franchise cancelled.

The war against crime is a dismal failure when we realize that criminals are running the government and the country.

@Letranknight2015 true. There is no justice here in the country. Only punishment for the poor.

Hello @allen0187 yeah only the poor are sent to jail. While the rich, priviledged and with connections gets lenient sentence or no face reveal in news broadcast.

Well we are already opening up and traffic is back already almost normal already. So expect that crimes would also rise up with it. I think there are just a few more things that are restrained from operating but almost everything is already opened and people are starting to roam around already.

@Letranknight2015 Well in public it is but I doubt if that is being monitored anymore since I can see some people not wearing their mask if not properly covered. If things will be loosened again I think we would experience a spike in cases once more.

Hello @rsa101 it's even crime not to wear mask now. Well, people are more hungry and desperate now more than ever.

Feeling so bad to hear that. Some people are trouble mongers. They are not worried about what general public is passing through. Any time is good for them to create trouble.

I wish I could say I'm surprised. But, I'm not. In fact, lockdowns actually cause more harm than good. It takes its toll on physical, mental and emotional health. It often makes people desperate. What is sad, is we (or rather) the governments at large, think they can decide what battles we as individuals can face.

Hello @kaylachan I think something to do with the cop's job or what ever illegal he's into and they decided to silence him or something.

I'm so sorry to hear that. (Shocked, too, as our country's media tells us that shootings don't happen outside of the United States ).
