"The time when it's safer to accidentally fart in public rather than to cough or sneeze"

I've read this elsewhere. I think a page in Facebook expressed in vernacular. I can't remember though it's written on myLot. But, I agreed somehow. With the things going on, it would be alarming when you or someone accidentally cough or sneeze in public. Surely, the attention of people will turn at you or the individual. You might be suspected as virus carrier for having such symptoms. That's why, I understand the person come up of some defense or making an alibi when it was done. Speaking of farting, it would be a little embarrassing but at least the people will not panic compared to the two. It may drove people away but you can't become a suspect as virus carrier.

As much as this might be true, I would really appreciate it if someone does neither of that in front of me. More embarrassing if I do that too You would never see me for a while!

That is forgivable but still it depends on how we feel.

People cough and sneeze from time to time. I understand people being worried but it doesn't really bother me.

I have the same sentiment. Other people think otherwise that we can't go wrong.
