A friend just sent me a message showing Lionel Messi helping people with eye deficiency see better through technology aided device. My friend knew how I consider Messi the greatest athlete, aside from Pele and Maradona.
Then just a few moments ago, learned in the news that Diego Maradona has died of cardiac arrest. Argentina is preparing for a three day mourning.
Pope Francis must also be sad. He is Argentina's number 1 football fan. Hu hu.
Eternal rest, world's best soccer player.

This came as a shock last night while watching news. My husband and daughters are crazy fans of football. A big loss for football fans. An end of era of a legend. May his soul rest in peace.

Good for your husband your daughters share his passion. Must be a riot of television viewing gametime.
Maradona surely created a name the world would remember, as Pele did, and Messi.

@eileenleyva Well they are sports freak. I think they follow almost all popular sports. My elder one was a part of school Basket Ball team and was the only girl on Football team there. They don't have a Girls football team in her school and with special request she was allowed to be on the boys team and play with boys.

Reports has it he was struggling with health conditions and that surgery two weeks prior was critical. It is his time. The end of a legend. The tune that bears his name rings in my ears.

I felt sad, too. Maradona was my sports entertainment before Messi took the world stage. These bemuscled little people are truly great!
