Autumn is hanging on for dear life here. In fact, here, I think it’s been frozen so much it decided to go south for the winter. Wish it had taken me with it! As fall falls, here’s another song with “fall” in the title. #8: Still Falling for You - Boz Scaggs But of course I’ll use Boz Scaggs at any opportunity. And, every time I use something from this album, the less-than-successful follow-up to the mega-selling Silk Degrees, I like to quote the opening line from Rolling Stone magazine, which just couldn’t bring themselves to admit this wasn’t that great an album: Boz Scaggs is a little like sex and rock and roll. When he’s good, he’s great. When he’s bad, he’s not all that bad. When this was released as a single the label said, “From the forthcoming album Still Falling for You.” They changed the album title between the release of the single and the release of the album. The review was right: this isn’t a “bad” album; however, Silk Degrees (or Middle Man, or my favorite, Moments) it’s NOT. But this is still a good song that gets a crank of the volume button when it comes on.
