Another day is done for me well at least work is done. I forgot to take anything out of the freezer last night for dinner tonight so I’m thinking it might be a grilled cheese and soup kind of night. Nothing to thaw out and supper easy to make. I just took some steaks out of the freezer for tomorrows dinner. So, I heard on the radio that Wisconsin’s governor is saying about how the state is in debt due to Covid and taxes might be going up starting next year. Should have guessed this one was coming. Isn’t this something we should be voting on? Sounds as though all of us from Wisconsin will be getting screwed on this one. Figures a Democrap’s first thought it raising taxes, not how can we cut some spending. Nope right to raising taxes. They didn’t say if that was property tax, income tax, sales tax or maybe he is thinking all taxes. I guess we will know in the weeks to come. Hope your day/night has been a good one.

I have a feeling its any tax that he or she has control over. It's not really a shock, though. Because someone thought lockdowns were a good idea, many industries suffered many losses. From small businesses forced to close their doors and can't reopen, to housing and everything in-between. It's great, that some people received extra unemployment, but they also froze for a time elections for non-payment of rent or mortgages. People took advantage of this, and instead of continuing to pay the rent, they made bad choices with the extra money. So, now, people like myself, who paid my mortgage throughout this time, will suffer for it. President Biden also wants to raise taxes nationwide for those making 40 k or higher. And, us who make less will be paying for it. So, not just your state, but everyone will be feeling the bite once Biden takes the chair. If the government stopped to think about the backlash, perhaps we wouldn't have to worry about things like this.

@Bensen32 I know I should've said "President-Elect" but, in less than two months it'll be a reality regardless what the press claims is happening in the White House. I admit, I fear for this country and what this man might do. My husband on the other hand, is "hopefully optimistic" about what the next four years will bring.

@kaylachan Well if your husband is into more taxes and more restrictions and he likes big government then I think he will like the next four years if Biden becomes the puppet for the Dems.
