The Christmas Star

If there is one rare astronomical event I am so excited about, it is the Christmas Star coming up in a few days.
Don't get me wrong because I do love the Harvest Moon and the Blood Moon and the Blue Moon, I love the eclipses and meteor showers. I love looking up to the nights skies and just stare at the crescent moon and the millions of stars placed in the sky by one God. But this one that is about to mesmerize us comes centuries and millenniums apart - Jupiter and Saturn creating the Christmas Star.
Last seen eight hundred years ago, aren't we lucky we could view this with the naked eye. But you have to wait and watch from the 15th to the 18th, some 45 minutes after sunset, I believe (please check the news), because that will be the time the conjunction of the planets will be vividly visible.

Wow I never knew that there will be this kind of rare event that will happen in the coming days. I am not interested at looking at the stars and the moon lately since it is not as good as in the provinces where the skies are really clear at night. I will try to find some place where I could see this light from above.

@eileenleyva Indeed will look for it. Hope we’ll have clear skies by then. It has been raining the past days in my place.

You and I are very lucky, huh! We get to see the Christmas Star. Start spreading the news so people will witness God's answer to our prayers. Our God has many surprises, huh!

This will be a nice sighting for sure. I am not sure if I would be able to see it from my workstation.

Your workstation something like a bunker? Oh well, perhaps you could stretch the legs and get a break after sundown, and take a look outside to see the magnificence in the heavens.

It's only a week away. I hope you do get to remember our date with the heavens. It's a sign of hope.
