Lol! Did I get your attention, anyway this post is about face skin and a nifty review. I've always had fairly nice skin. A zit or 2 here or there, but generally fairly clear. A blessing. My mom has similar. When I was a teen I used the typical astringent cleansers to control the occasional acne outbreak but other than that just water and a wash cloth. As I moved beyond my teen years and my pimple outbreaks diminished for many years I used just water and a wash cloth. Why you might ask? Because my grandma - who owned a salon knew someone back in the day, way back, there was an old lady although in her 80s her skin was fabulous. And little old Mrs. so and so - her secret , was she never used soap on her face. And so it became a thing. I heard the story over and over and over and over..... Well, a few years back I noticed a bit of dryness and some fine lines (what?) so I found a lightweight moisturizer with some SPF that I like. Ok, and for a few years that was all well and good. Now the past couple years I notice a little bit of redness and bumps. WHAT. Uncool. So I thought maybe a cleanser would be an alright idea, but which one? So I wanted to go with a trusted name brand and one that would help moisturize and I found Neutrogena's Hydro Boost . 5 out of 5 stars. Would highly recommend. I used it for a month straight, noticed smoother, more hydrated skin and a reduction in the little bit of redness. I got the 5 Oz. tube and after using it daily for a month I still have more than half of it. It was not expensive, so it's a particularly good value too. Have you experienced any changes to your face care recently? Photo: Mine

Neutrogena is very good brand. I'm glad it's I working for you. I just found collagen. At my age I need it. I like your tip about soap. I like my orange cleanser ala Wal-Mart store brand for my face.

Thanks! Oh! I found some collagen in drink packets at Walmart. Tasty and supposed to be ever so good for your skin but... expensive. How do you take the collagen? Suppliment? or apply to your skin? Do you think it works?

@oahuwriter Thank you for the information. It's so much more reassuring to try something when someone you know has tried it already. Not to mention it sounds like you really did your research, too

@FayeHazel I found them in caps. NutriVein is the company and is FDA approved.2250 mg of 180 caps which is hydroluzed and costs just 17.99 with free shipping. Wal-Mart.com got it with free shipping so does etsy.com. I ordered it on Nov. 25 arrived USPS on Nov. 30th!. It's working. My age and diabetes 2 takes a toll on my skin and thus far I'm seeing and feeling better, my skin is healing and my cholesterol is very good. I had red itchy skin on my neck now just these few days it's almost all gone! I live it and is worth it. I window shopped for it and NutriVein is the best price & free shipping, perfect. I'd recommend it highly.

I should probably take better care of my face, but if I'm being honest... I can't be bothered. I'll use warm water and sometimes soap in the bath... or I'll splash cold water on it when it's boiling hot and I'm dripping with sweat. But, apart from that I really don't do much to it. I have a few break outs every now and again, but all in all I'm happy with my face.

To be honest I don't like all the putsy work of adding this extra step. But, I like getting rid of the gritty texture on my face lol.

@FayeHazel I can't say I blame you. The occassional soap and water do the trick for me.

I used to have pimples when I was young. Still do up to this day if I am not careful enough. So I use face mask that's made out of honey, aloe and potato daily. For skincare, I am using local product. It's anti aging and didn't dry my skin, which I like. I tend to get flaking on my face if I didn't take care of it properly. My friend just use soap or body wash on her face. She has no problem whatsoever. I feel envy for this kind of people.

@FayeHazel Yes, I make it myself. I found out about using potato on Youtube so I tried it.

I have a patch of red on one cheek. Maybe a moisturiser would help me too.

Ooo I wonder. This seems to work for me. I have wondered if it's the Hyaluronic acid in there
