December 11 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. It didn't go according to plan, but that's okay. Plans are made to be broken. I'm thankful for my son. He took me shopping this afternoon. We are a pair. Me with my new knees and he with his injured back. Still, the shopping went well. He was able to get the groceries into the car. I worried about that. I took the shopping cart with me so it wouldn't be hard to get them into the apartment. With it loaded up, getting them into the apartment was easy. I now have a full freezer again and fridge. The only thing I couldn't buy was more frozen fruit. As it turned out, there isn't room for it. I did get a nice turkey for Christmas. He also stayed after the groceries were put away to watch an episode of Star Wars Rebels. He said it was a vital episode prior to me watching Mandalorian episode 5. So, now I'm set to watch that too. It was a very good day. I'm going to get the notifications finished now, and then most likely go to bed. My back is a bit sore with all the shopping I did which was a lot more than usual since I was low on groceries. I also bought a few board games. My older son also called while he was here. His girlfriend has COVID so they're all quarantined. So prayers please for them and my granddaughter. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

A full freezer and fridge is always something to be thankful for. It also remind us that we still can eat when some in this world is starving. I wish for the best for your elder son and his girlfriend. I hope they're cured soon.

's this the same son that took ya shoppin'?? i so hope not. wishin' 'em all well. hmm, this 'twas friday... what'd i do then? lots 'f work, thankful fer the ability to do such. witnessed a beaut 'f a sunset, too cold to take gloves off to snap a pic. got some pony lovin', 'lways a bonus.

No, the older son's girlfriend has COVID. My younger son took me shopping and is the one who fell and fractured his T-12. He's doing good now. Can't lift too much, but at least he's getting around. A beautiful sunset and pony love are always a bonus.

I will be praying for your son, girlfriend and grand daughter. I am sorry they tested positive. I hope they have a mild case like Mike's brother did. I am glad you and your son were able to go to the store and watch Star Wars Rebel. After The Empire Strikes Back, I didn't follow the Star Wars saga as close. I hope you get a good night's rest and your back pain eases. I am thankful for holiday treats, today Mike and I enjoyed some egg nog.

Thank you. I hope it won't be bad either. I appreciate the prayers. He's into the whole Star Wars universe. I enjoy Star Wars, so watching it with him was good. Thank you. Yes, I had a good night's sleep and the pain was absent which is good. I'm doing well this morning. I like not having back pain.
