Why the Walnut and not the Mahogany?

I want to reapply varnish to my old cabinet and it's current color is mahogony. I thought of applying a paint for a renewed color but I decided to retain the old varnish color and will just re-apply when the materials are readily available. I go out this morning to look for the color that I wanted but unfortunately the only store selling on the street near to our residence has no stock for the particular color I was looking. The attendant allowed me to choose between walnut and brown because those were the only colors available in the meantime. Since I do not want to go elsewhere and look further, I chose the walnut instead.

I would also have picked up walnut, it will be a little darker than your actual color.
