Anne was orphaned at the age of three months and was picked on at the orphanage because she had red hair and freckles. An older brother and sister sent for a bit or of the orphanage but the correct message for lost in transit and Anne was sent instead.
It's a very good series of your looking for something different. It takes place in prince edward island as marlina informed me.

When you were young? I don't know how much it follows the book but it's a good series. Anne just turned sixteen.

@MarshaMusselman I will check it out. If hubs is interested, we will watch it together. Otherwise, I watch nothing without him.

I watched the first part of that series. When I was a teenager one of my friends bought the books, and she lent them to me. There are several books, but I mostly remember the first one. I liked that one the most.

You mean the one you liked the most was the first book? I saw them in display at Costco yesterday. Maybe when my step granddaughter is older I'll but the set for her for Christmas or something.

It's on Netflix right now but they rotate their shows so I don't know how long it might stay.

Sorry but it is in Prince Edward Island
They have different versions of it, I prefer the original.
Based on the international best-selling novel by L.M. Montgomery, this Emmy Award-winning production follows the provocative life drama of orphan Anne Shirle...

I heard a good review about this one from one of my friends too. It's based on a famous children's literature classic. I am sure I would love it watching with my daughter. I am still not considering renewing my Netflix subscription.
