Maybe A Sign Would Be Helpful

It has happened probably the last two or three times in a row that we have been at Walmart that the cashier has not been old enough to ring up my beer.
Normally someone comes right on over to do an authorization on the register.
But not today.
The girl left the register, looked around the service counter, walked back and forth up and down looking for someone. Finally she brought another woman over who was old enough.
But she could not ring me up either.
She said I would have to take my entire cart to the service desk to be rung up. Very frustrating, thank you very much.
The guy in line behind me had to do the same thing as he had a bottle of white zinfandel and another bottle of booze.
Maybe putting up a sign to alert customers, "No alcohol in this line," would save everyone, Walmart workers and customers alike, the aggravation. It's bad enough checkers are slow. If they are going to hold you up because they can't ring out your entire order to boot...
You are just wasting everyone's time.

@LindaOHio I agree. People cannot always agree on everything. What would be the fun in that? I have had many a party where we all sat around with a nice little drink and some very good arguments.

A sign is definitely a good idea.
First time, I've heard of this policy though.
