I Always Lose A Sock

What is with clothes dryer that I always end up with a missing sock? I was doing laundry earlier, and after that dried clothes are put in the hamper so I can fold them later on. After making our dinner, I decided to fold our clothes. All's well until I found out that I am missing the other pair of my sock. I checked inside the dryer to see if I left it there. It's not in there. I also checked the washer, but no luck. I checked the hamper again, even the dirty clothes hamper and no sock. Where could the darned sock go? I even checked the lint trapper in case it somehow got trapped in there, but nope. It's totally gone. What am I supposed to do now with one sock?

Haha maybe use that one sock for wiping shoes because one is not of any use

I probably might, so this sock better tell the missing one to turn up soon before I dispose it.

A work friend of mine stayed at my place a couple of weeks ago. She couldn't find her sock in the morning I have looked absolutely everywhere and can't find that sock...I live in a tiny studio flat

I swear these socks go to a different universe in some portal by the dryer and party. Then when they're done, they turn up and share all the fun they had with the rest of the socks in the drawer. And thus started the cycle of all socks being gone one at a time.

After I helped Dixie for a whole evening pair some of her socks (the children were small then) I count each pair before I place them in the washing machine.

I wear colored socks since we are casual at work, so with jeans and tennis shoes nobody really sees my socks. I am missing my plum colored sock and it's also my favorite one. Oh well, hopefully like @sharon6345 says, it will turn up.

Isn't that the truth? Whenever we are looking for something, we cannot find it no matter how hard we look for it. But when we're not, it's just there.
