He Loves His Dinner

I made sauteed chicken thighs tonight for dinner, but I don't really know what to call this dish.
I sauteed onions and put in chicken thighs. Then I seasoned it with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Once the chicken is about 4 minutes in I put in the potatoes I chopped, and put in soy sauce and sesame oil, and a little bit of water. When the chicken has started to brown and the sauce has started to caramelize, I threw in my sliced bell peppers.
When my husband got home, he saw that dinner is ready so he started to serve himself. After a couple of bites, I asked him how it is. He asked me if I made it out of a pre-packed meal, because it's so good. When he turned to look at me, he realized his mistake. He tried to convince me that it's meant to be a compliment. Yeah, sure.
I swear, one of these days this guy will have to fend for himself in the kitchen and I'll see how he liked it.

My husband can be the same way. He can cook, kinda, but gets annoyed at the microwave. He likes to dump things in a pot and call it food, but he also likes the low and slow method. Well, I have news for him, I cook the right way. I'm not waiting hours for a meal I can have done in ten minutes.

The best dishes are when you make them up yourself.
