Can we hold it together four more days?

This week, the two teachers that were out for covid are back in school.
The other fourth grade teacher now tests positive for covid, but she, and all the students, were on quarantine last week.
Our secretary has a positive test. The lady who usually covers for her had to quarantine, as did our librarian, because they both were exposed from her. Two first grade teachers are out, I believe.
I do not have any idea how many students are out for covid related illnesses.
We always have some "festivities" during this week before Christmas. They are more low key this year.
The special ed co op gave all the paraprofessionals gift bags.
Many of us are wearing holiday clothes.
I understand the principal is bringing by the "calorie cart" full of candy and store bought goodies today.
Personally, I need to finish packing a lunch and get out the door.
Have a great day.

You know, Christmas will come, virus or not. Kids will still be excited. We can still watch holiday movies. Some classes still have Elf on the Shelf. The preschool made beautiful Christmas ornaments with their pictures inside to take home. We just keep going.

I seem to be staying quite healthy. Maybe I have just the right combination of secret measures that work. Or maybe I am lucky.

We have other things that cause us to miss some. I have noticed a rash of little boys who have wrist braces due to broken thumbs and slings due to broken collar bones.

I seem to be safe, and pretty resistant. Many people have things that they think will keep them healthy, I do too. So far they are working. Would I tell you to do all the same things? Not necessarily, but it seems to be good for me.

Not everyone has the same health issues. I have to wear a mask because of my chronic rhinitis and so far ok and want to stay that way. I only go out when have to.
