Our Lives Fed and Led by Hope

Even during dire times, like now, we are led and fed by hope coated with love from our creator. In fact, even for a dying person, in his last breath, hope never runs dry. It could be of another start afresh if not a miraculous recovery right here itself. We could go to bed with worries of another day but also intermingled with hope. Like most, I have had end of the world scenarios only for them to dissipate into thin air soon after. The spell of doom and gloom can last longer like now but we have also a hope that it will not only be life as normal like before but also a new one even better! After all, the pandemic has cast its long shadow on us tough to erase unlike others we have run into earlier. So we should sigh a breath of relief and grateful for a new lease of life. Hope can never be lost even if we suppress it. During the height of the cold war many in Europe thought they could perish in a nuclear holocaust. It was not due to enmity between people but due to the supposed leaders using them as pawns to flex their muscles. Hope has never left us in the lurch but overcomes the odds in general. A few bite the dust but most sigh a sense of relief that they are alive to enjoy another day under the sun here. At the end of the day, it is not the five senses that matter but the underlying thread of hope, love and thirst to live. On my part, I try to cling on to hope even in the worst of times. It could turn a new page in my book and the old becomes water under the bridge but the challenges ahead come with hope too. How do you face the challenges of life – are they with hope like me that it would be just another exciting day ahead? Free Image from Unsplash: Hope

I've always been an optimist and it panned out so well for me. I've made goals and reached beyond them. I also worry, but never enough to become dysfunctional. Hopefulness is a given every morning when I open my eyes for a new and happy day ahead. Being thankful to my Creator every morning and evening for the blessings He has given me help. Being negative and a downer isn't in my nature. Yes, good news is here!!!!

@Shiva49 Thank you. We seem to have the same philosophy about life in general.

What you state is clearly reflected through your posts, no two ways about it! There is inherent hope in creation and in our mental makeup. We may despair but also fight against all odds with hope driving us. Gratefulness for the blessings keep me well grounded to face challenges and keep my chin up. Even during times like now, we know innately we shall overcome and better days are ahead.

I have always been a very determined person, like the mountain goat. I simply never give up, tho at times I feel very down.

We are human after all. I go with the flow but fight back at the appropriate time reinventing my inner strength. I don't suppress my emotions though

@Shiva49 Best you do not have to suppress emotion as that can kill a person.

Without hope we have nothing so we can always hope.

Yes, "Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness"- Desmond Tutu. Something is prompting us that all is not lost even in the worst of times.

That is the way to go. We tend to overlook the bright side and wallow in self-pity that life has been unfair to us.

I always hold on to my faith and hope. I live by the teachings of Gita... I can do my best and the result is in His hands. I know that HE knows the best. I have an unshaken faith and there is a light of hope at the end of the darkest tunnels too.

Yes, that is honoring our creator by doing our part too My way has always been to do my best not for selfish goals and accept the outcome with grace. This has served me to enjoy peace of mind with a sense of gratitude and blessings. At times the outcome was better than what I had planned for. I have felt the unseen hand in my life and creator in disguise at the right moment.

The media headlines tend to depress us but at people to people level the goodness is unmistakable. Love is always on tap but tends to lie dormant unseen and unappreciated.

I have no time for hope myself. It is a meaningless thing for me to do. Perhaps, this poem might explain my stance. Poetry: Hope, and desperation, drag us far behind love. Hope is always a false hope, a clinging on desperately. Why hope in vain, when you can let hope go too? Our hope lives on in us, because our link to love is God. And yet, we should stop even hoping for anything, and just keep loving, as that's all that's ever needed. Love has inbuilt knowing, and knowing does not involve hope.

@Shiva49 We differ there, because I have always hated such things as trust, faith, and hope. My whole aim in spiritual unfoldment is to rid myself for the need of these types of steps of a ladder, or crutches, which to me are unnecessary. Why settle for less than love? God is love, and so are we. We do not have to hope that that is true, if we really know that God is true. With hope alone, I would remain an atheist.

@innertalks I like to separate hope, trust, belief, love and god. I am more agnostic. I believe in a creator but not what is depicted through hearsay. I hold a view creation is not only beyond our comprehension but also imagination. We can trust in our creator and have faith but hope is more of looking forward to another day here. Frankly, no one can really reciprocate the love of our creator. One can try but selfishness comes into play for bare survival. Hope is more practical and helps us along in times of distress. Love is esoteric; hope is universal but love in its truest sense is non-existent, I would say .

I think hope is undying and underpins our lives though love is at a higher level of being. Hope can lead us to love and without hope we feel bereft of meaning in our existence. Love all is god's diktat but we have to be practical not to be taken advantage. I like a borderless approach to my outlook but that is tempered by the reality of a harsh environment where god helps those who help themselves is more the way to survive. Agreed god should find a place in our lives but hope springs eternal to keep us going in the worst of times.

Great image choice, I like the stark reality covered in a message of hope. I cope by rising each day and seeing the sun shine. If the sun can do it so can I.

Thanks, though the sun sets everyday it rises too and that has a deeper meaning reflecting our lives. When we set here we should also rise somewhere else. We are in this creation tasked with something or other. The least we can do is do something to add value even assuming the role of cocreators. We all leave footprints on the sands of time.
