Christmas This Year Will Be Spent With Family

Specifically, my husband's side of the family. He run into her niece at Walmart, and she asked if we will be in town for Christmas. My husband said that we will be. She then invited us in their place because they are doing Christmas dinner at her place. My husband texted me, and I told her we can go there if he wants to. I am okay with it. When my husband gets home, he confirmed that we are now set to have Christmas dinner with them. I will still make my buko (young coconut) salad which I discussed on a previous post. I asked my husband if I should also bring lumpia (egg rolls) and pansit (stir fried noodles) since I am planning to still cook these. He said no, he said those are for him . We can bring the buko salad, and that's it. At first, I am not too excited to go. But when my husband told me that their dad (his older brother) is not coming and did not even join them for Thanksgiving because his new wife and the wife's daughter are uncomfortable, I felt bad and said okay.

I hope so. Sometimes we play games. I have a feeling that there will be a marriage proposal this time, I am not sure but I have been hearing stuff.

Me too, but hpefully our town does not go to lock down any time soon. Our hospital workers have been receiving vaccines for the virus, so hopefully that should slow down the spread. We will still be safe though.

That's nice you got invited and now have something to look forward too. I'm spending it with my sisters, my dad and the kids. Keeping it just us family as covid is still around so we don't want to be around others right now.

That would be nice to spend Christmas with your husbands´ family. I will be only celebrating with my son and husband at home. We are on lockdown and I don´t want to go anywhere else.

I am actually looking forward to it. My husband, who is stubbornly refusing to get a hair cut, suddenly made an appointment with his hair stylist for tomorrow.

The foods that you're going to prepare are very interesting and caught my attention. Ha! Ha! I hope you'll still have a good time even if not everyone from the family is coming to your get-together.

My husband asked me if he needs to ask his niece about what foods she is preparing so we will not double up. I told him I don't think they will know how to make any of the food that I mentioned above.
